Paris In The Morning: Part Deux

Picture series number two– the mornings are getting colder, my walk more habitual. I seem to find interesting things around me everywhere. Some days it’s incredibly foggy, others are clear. There is always the man in the freezing cold, reading the newspaper in the park. Since I had taken pictures of all the normal things that catch my eye, this week I had to start looking for unseen perspectives.

This small exercise project has reminded me of an old art assignment. If you are bored, try this exercise of drawing, painting or photographing the same subjects multiple times and creating new interpretations. Often, we look at everything from our paradigm, we tend to see things represented the same way. But when you are forced to pay attention to the same thing multiple times, after your first painting of your natural perspective, you’ll have to jog your brain for new ideas of seeing it, describing it, with new techniques, new lighting, etc. Try it.
